At night in the snowy Urseren Valley - a unique experience that enriches your vacation in the holiday region of Andermatt! On this easy nighttime snowshoe hike in the flat Urseren Valley, we discover the landscape in a whole new way. The River Reuss babbles quietly, the moon and stars appear in the sky.
Along the way, we enjoy the view of the lights of Andermatt with a delicious glass of mulled cidre.
Number of participants: at least 6, maximum 12 people.
Meeting point
At 7:30 PM at Hospental train station. Arrival by train from Andermatt (departure 7:25 PM) recommended.
We will be back at Andermatt train station around 9:30 PM.
Requirements
Easy snowshoe hike in mainly flat terrain.
Approximately 1.5 hours of walking time, 3.5 km distance.
Material
Sturdy, warm winter shoes or high hiking boots, snowshoes, poles, warm clothes, gloves, hat, headlamp (if available), possibly drink.
Snowshoes can be rented at sports shops in Andermatt and in many hotels.
Price
CHF 45.- per person
The price includes organization and guiding by Philipp Rohrer from Die Wanderei as well as a glass of mulled cider. Not included are transport as well as equipment rental.
Insurance
Insurance is the responsibility of participants. It is recommended to take out cancellation cost insurance.
